What do our clients say?

With the renovation of their Hendra property complete, we sat down with owners Tonya and Stu to ask them about their experiences with Quality Home renovations.

CM: What are your impressions about working with Ian Fowler and Quality Home Renovations?

Stu: Very easy going, very casual. An absolute pleasure to deal with, really. If we made changes, that was no issue.

Tonya: Yeah, that’s right. And that’s what we were looking for in a builder, someone who was willing to work with us, who didn’t mind that we were on the job site.

Stu: Yes, and the tradies he employs are all easy going and have the the same way of thinking.

Tonya: Which we love.

CM: How did it feel to see your dream home become a reality?

Tonya: It was really exciting. We loved the whole process especially the design side of things. We love the whole thing, from the beginning right through to now, where we get to enjoy everything.

Stu: We just loved seeing it all come together and then seeing changes which improve the house.

CM: You’ve built before and you’ve built with other builders. What is the main difference about working with Ian and Quality Home Renovations?

Tonya: We’ve found that a lot of builders don’t particularly like you being on the job site a lot of the time, they prefer you to be in the background. Whereas with Ian he’s more than happy for you to be on the job site, more than happy for you to be talking to other tradies and to him, about different ideas. And to us, seeing as we’ve done this a few times, this is what we wanted. And hence this is why its the second time we’ve built with Ian.

Stu: Yeah, and they’ll be a third time, a fourth time. It’s just a good mix. We had lots of different tradies on site and everyone just got on really well.

Tonya: And that’s all down to the builder. And that what sets Ian apart. If someone is looking for a project where they’d like to be a bit more hands on then Ian is the perfect builder for them. We recommend Ian all the time.

CM: What would be your advice for the first time renovator?

Stu: Ok. It’s not like The Block on TV! you don’t get it done in 2 weeks. Things do take time and a lot of planning and a lot of thought has to go into the project or you may not be happy at the other end.

Tonya: And to get the builder involved at the planning stage.

CM: What was the most satisfying part of the renovation process?

Stu: Seeing it all coming together. Seeing the quality of the build. Knowing its been done properly. Knowing there was no shortcuts. Ian is very professional and we’re really really happy with the product and with the outcome. We love it.
